Brewery Tours
We ask for private tour numbers to be a minimum of 15 people (or minimum payment for 15, if numbers are short) and a maximum of about 40. For large groups to ensure quality of tour we will split into two groups.
The cost of our Exeter Brewery tour is £40 per head and includes all Exeter Brewery branded: ale, lager and cider for 3 hours from arrival time, tour and Tom’s pie meal.
A £10 deposit, per person, is payable in advance.
We serve a selection of Tom’s award-winning pies. We ask that pies are pre-ordered. The pie is served with mash, minted peas and gravy.
Please ensure that final numbers are confirmed, the pie order is placed, and your deposit paid 10 days prior to the tour.
Food & Drink
The standard selection of pies is:
- Steak & Ale - our multi award winning Darkness stout is used in this pie
- Chicken Ham Hock and leek
- Spicy Cauliflower (Vegan)
- Mushroom Spinach & Truffle Oil
- We can also provide gluten free pies if required
All Exeter Brewery ales are free to drink as part of the package. However, we do charge for all other drinks - alcoholic or non-alcoholic. The exception being if there is a group driver; soft drinks are served free of charge in this instance.
Itinerary
The format of the tour is:
- Meet for drinks in the Tap-Room.
- The tour itself, which takes approximately 30-40 minutes.
- The serving of the pie supper/lunch.
- And more ale!
The whole Tour event is deemed to last three hours.
Please note: The actual tour itself will commence 30 minutes after agreed arrival time.
Private tours can take place on any mid-week evening except a Thursday and Friday, as the Tap-room Bar is open to the general public on these nights. Week day tours start at 6pm. Tours are available at the weekend, by request. On a Saturday tours can start from 10am, with the latest start time being 3pm.
We ask that the tour guide is informed of anyone within your group that has suffered from sickness, diarrhoea in the past 48 hours, or anyone that has been in contact with anyone who has had an infectious disease or any food poisoning infection in the last 48 hours.
